Customer Service / Sales

 

Position: 

This is a part-time to full time position. Applicants must be willing to work non-traditional hours, including weekends, if necessary. Customer service / sales representatives are responsible for assisting customers with gift selections over the phone and in the store, entering orders into our POS system and serving customers by providing information, handling requests, and resolving problems as necessary.

  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones, providing a high level of customer service.

  • Help customers with purchases when come into store.

  • Up-sell on all orders where appropriate, providing the finishing touch.

  • Performing opening an closing duties as necessary per work schedule.

  • Have good communication and customer service skills

  • Have a strong attention to detail.

  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Have good organizational skills.

  • Use time wisely to complete projects as assigned.

  • Keep retail showroom, cooler doors, doors, windows, shelves, etc. clean & tidy.

  • Ensure front display cooler stays full of arrangements and cut flowers for purchase.

  • Maintain a professional attitude and appearance while demonstrating a superior level of hospitality when working with customers and staff.

  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Can type an average of 40-50 WPM
  • Be able to use a computer and learn new programs

  • Have good communication skills

  • Have a good knowledge of cut flowers and plants including season, care & identity.

  • Be able to suggest appropriate floral or gift item per occasion / event.

  • Excellent grammar & spelling

  • Multi-line Telephone

  • Ability to remain calm and multi-task

  • Ability to interact effectively, professionally, and courteously with customers and staff.

  • Ability to relate to persons of all ages, diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities.

  • Comply with a flexible work schedule.

  • Be able to lift up to 30 pounds

 

Education and/or Experience: 

  • A minimum of a High School diploma, or equivalent, is highly desirable.

 

Selection Process:
