Flowers are a natural, seasonal product, and availability can vary throughout the year. At Nancy's Floral, our priority is always to create and deliver an arrangement that is fresh, beautiful and faithful to the overall style, color palette and value of the design you selected.
When a particular flower, color, container or gift item is unavailable, our professional designers may make an appropriate substitution using an item of equal or greater value.
Our Substitution Philosophy
We would rather substitute a flower with something fresh and beautiful than use an older flower simply because it matches the photograph exactly. Freshness, quality and the overall appearance of your arrangement always come first.
Fresh Flower Substitutions
When substitutions are necessary, we make every effort to maintain the overall look and feel of the arrangement, including its shape, size, style and color combination.
For arrangements featuring a specific type of flower, the flower variety may take priority over the exact color. For example, if an arrangement calls for yellow daisies and yellow daisies are unavailable, we may use another color of daisy rather than replacing the daisies with an unrelated yellow flower.
Similar shades may also be substituted when appropriate. For example, white and cream roses may sometimes be used interchangeably, or peach and soft pink roses may be substituted when needed to preserve the overall appearance of the design.
Containers & Vases
Some arrangements are shown in specialty containers that may have limited or seasonal availability. When the exact container is unavailable, we may substitute a similar container of equal or greater value that complements the style and size of the arrangement.
Plants
For green and blooming plants, a similar plant of equal or greater value may be substituted when necessary. For distinctive plants such as orchids, we make every effort to match the plant type, although the color or container may vary depending on availability.
Balloons
Some hospitals and healthcare facilities do not allow latex balloons. When necessary, Mylar balloons may be substituted so that your gift can still be delivered in accordance with the facility's policies.
Gift Baskets
Gift baskets may occasionally require substitutions based on product availability and freshness. Any substituted food or gift item will be of equal or greater value and selected to maintain the overall quality and presentation of the basket.
Special Occasions & Time-Sensitive Deliveries
For important occasions such as funerals, birthdays, anniversaries and other time-sensitive events, making a thoughtful substitution may allow us to complete and deliver your order on time.
If an important component is unavailable, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you using the phone number or email address provided with your order. If we are unable to reach you and the delivery is time-sensitive, our designers may make an appropriate substitution of equal or greater value so the gift is not delayed.
What Will Not Change
Even when substitutions are necessary, our goal remains the same: to create a fresh, attractive arrangement that reflects the style, color harmony, value and sentiment of the design you selected.
