Delivery Information
Nancy's Floral provides professional local flower and gift delivery throughout the Portland metropolitan area, including many surrounding communities, rural areas east of Portland, and locations extending into the Mt. Hood area, including Timberline Lodge.
Local Portland Metro Delivery
What does local delivery cost?
Standard local delivery charges generally range from $12.95 to $49.95, depending on the delivery ZIP code and distance from our Gresham flower shop. Additional charges may apply for special delivery services, including Rush or Super Rush delivery.
Because we cover a large delivery area, our professional drivers deliver multiple orders on carefully planned routes. Standard delivery charges provide delivery during our normal delivery window rather than at a specific hour.
What are Nancy's Floral's normal delivery times?
As a general guideline, our normal local delivery windows are:
- Business deliveries: approximately 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
- Residential deliveries: approximately 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Actual delivery times depend on the day's delivery volume, destination, route scheduling, traffic, weather, recipient availability, and other circumstances.
We will gladly note a preferred delivery time when an order is placed and make reasonable efforts to accommodate it. However, standard delivery service does not guarantee delivery at an exact time or within a specific hourly window.
Can I request delivery at a specific time?
Because every floral arrangement is individually designed and our drivers deliver multiple orders on scheduled routes, we generally cannot guarantee an exact delivery time with standard delivery service.
Requests such as “deliver at exactly 11:00 AM” or “deliver between 1:00 and 2:00 PM” cannot normally be guaranteed unless special arrangements have been made directly with our staff or an available expedited delivery service has been purchased.
Time-sensitive deliveries for funerals, memorial services, weddings, and other scheduled events are handled differently. When we have a confirmed service or event time, we schedule the delivery appropriately so the flowers arrive before the event.
Do you offer Rush and Super Rush flower delivery?
Yes. Nancy's Floral offers Rush and Super Rush delivery service in select nearby ZIP codes, subject to availability and sufficient order-processing time.
- Rush Delivery: additional $10.00 — scheduled for approximately 9:00 AM–10:00 AM
- Super Rush Delivery: additional $15.00 — scheduled for approximately 8:00 AM–9:00 AM
Rush and Super Rush services are available in select local ZIP codes, including 97030, 97080, 97220, 97230, 97233, and 97236.
Availability may depend on the day, order volume, product selected, and the amount of time available to design and deliver the arrangement.
What happens if a Rush order is placed too late?
Rush and Super Rush orders require sufficient time for our staff to receive and process the order, select and prepare the flowers, professionally design the arrangement, prepare the card and delivery information, and dispatch the driver.
Occasionally, a customer may begin an online order before the website's automatic cutoff time but not complete checkout until the delivery window is too close—or has already begun.
An order does not enter our production system until it has actually been completed and submitted. If a Rush or Super Rush order reaches us with too little time to reasonably process, design, and deliver it, we may be unable to meet the originally selected delivery window.
In that situation, we will prioritize the arrangement for delivery as quickly as reasonably possible, but the original Rush or Super Rush time cannot be guaranteed.
If you have an extremely time-sensitive order, please call Nancy's Floral at 503-661-0911 so our staff can confirm what is realistically possible before you place the order.
How will I know when my order has been delivered?
Customers who provide a valid email address when ordering will normally receive a delivery confirmation after the delivery has been completed and processed through our system.
Delivery confirmations may not always be sent at the exact moment the arrangement reaches the recipient. Depending on the route and system being used, confirmation information may be updated after the driver completes the delivery.
If we encounter a significant problem that prevents us from completing your delivery as requested, Nancy's Floral will make reasonable efforts to contact you by telephone and/or email using the contact information provided with the order.
Recipient Contact & Unattended Deliveries
Can you call the recipient before delivering the flowers?
Yes. If requested, Nancy's Floral will make a reasonable effort to call the recipient before delivery. However, requesting a phone call does not mean that we will hold the arrangement until the recipient answers or returns the call.
Our delivery drivers leave the shop with multiple orders organized into efficient routes. If the recipient does not answer, we will normally leave a voicemail when possible and proceed with the scheduled delivery attempt rather than holding the order indefinitely.
If you specifically require us to speak with the recipient and confirm availability before attempting delivery, please tell us when ordering. We will do our best to accommodate the request, but same-day delivery cannot be guaranteed when delivery depends on receiving a response from the recipient.
We understand that flowers are often intended to be a surprise. When contact is necessary, our staff and drivers will make reasonable efforts not to reveal what is being delivered or who sent it unless that information is necessary.
What happens if the recipient does not answer the phone?
A recipient does not normally need to answer the telephone for us to attempt delivery. If there is no response, our driver will proceed to the delivery address and use professional judgment to determine the safest and most appropriate way to complete the delivery.
What happens if the recipient is not home?
If the recipient is not home when our driver arrives, Nancy's Floral will make the best delivery decision based on the location, weather conditions, type of arrangement, and overall safety of the flowers.
In many cases, our driver can safely leave the arrangement at the recipient's door, porch, or another protected location. When appropriate, we may also call or text the telephone number provided with the order to let the recipient know that a floral delivery has arrived and where it was placed.
Customers are welcome to request “Leave at door if not home.” We will honor these instructions whenever our driver determines that it is safe and appropriate to do so. However, a request to leave flowers unattended does not guarantee that we will be able to leave them.
When will flowers not be left at the door?
Fresh flowers and plants can be quickly damaged by unfavorable conditions. Our drivers may decide not to leave an arrangement unattended when circumstances could jeopardize the flowers or make the delivery unsafe.
Examples include extreme heat or cold, freezing temperatures, heavy rain or severe weather, direct sunlight, an unsecured location, loose or aggressive animals, restricted building access, or a significant risk of theft or damage.
If our driver believes leaving the arrangement would put the flowers or gift at unreasonable risk, we may attempt to contact the recipient or sender instead.
What happens if the flowers cannot be safely left?
If we cannot safely leave the delivery and are unable to reach the recipient, our driver may leave a delivery notice at the door or another appropriate location asking the recipient to contact Nancy's Floral.
Depending on the circumstances, the arrangement may be returned to our shop and a convenient redelivery time may be arranged. In some situations, delivery may need to be rescheduled for later that day or for the next available delivery day.
Business & Workplace Deliveries
Should I send flowers to the recipient's workplace?
If you know the recipient will be at work throughout the day, sending the arrangement to their workplace is often one of the most reliable delivery options.
Business deliveries generally provide someone who can accept the flowers during normal working hours and reduce the possibility of an arrangement being left outside or requiring another delivery attempt.
When sending flowers to a workplace, please provide the business name, complete business address, recipient's name, department or suite number if applicable, and a current telephone number.
Please also consider whether the recipient's workplace allows personal deliveries. Some secure offices, government facilities, schools, medical facilities, warehouses, and other workplaces may have restrictions on floral or gift deliveries.
What happens if the recipient is not at work when we deliver?
Nancy's Floral will normally leave the arrangement with a receptionist, front desk, coworker, security desk, or other authorized staff member who can accept the delivery on the recipient's behalf.
If the recipient is simply away from their desk, in a meeting, at lunch, working elsewhere in the building, or expected back later that day, we will generally leave the flowers with an appropriate staff member.
If we are told that the recipient has already left for the day but is expected to return the following day, we may also leave the arrangement when there is a safe and appropriate place for it to be kept.
However, if staff tells our driver that the recipient is out sick, on vacation, working remotely, on an extended leave, no longer employed at that location, or otherwise not expected to return within a reasonable period of time, we will generally not leave the flowers at the workplace.
In these situations, our driver will normally return the arrangement to Nancy's Floral and our staff will contact the sender to determine the best next step. In many cases, the best solution is to obtain the recipient's home address and arrange delivery to their residence instead.
Depending on the circumstances, a change of delivery address or an additional delivery attempt may require a redelivery or additional delivery charge, particularly when our driver has already traveled to and attempted delivery at the original address.
Address Problems & Special Locations
Why is accurate delivery information important?
Incomplete or incorrect addresses and missing or incorrect telephone numbers can delay delivery. Please provide the recipient's complete address and, whenever possible, the recipient's current telephone number.
Nancy's Floral employs professional local delivery personnel who are experienced in delivering fresh flowers, plants, sympathy arrangements, gifts, and other special deliveries throughout the Portland metropolitan area. Our drivers use their experience and professional judgment to determine the safest and most appropriate way to complete each delivery.
What happens if I provide an incorrect or incomplete delivery address?
An incorrect address does not necessarily mean that we cannot make the delivery. Nancy's Floral makes every reasonable effort to identify and correct address problems before an order leaves our shop.
During order processing, our staff and point-of-sale system may use multiple online resources and address-verification tools to locate or confirm delivery information.
Our drivers may also encounter address problems while attempting a delivery. When this happens, we will make reasonable efforts to locate the correct address or contact someone who can provide additional information. If we cannot obtain a valid address in time, the delivery may need to be completed later in the day or rescheduled for another available delivery day.
Please provide the recipient's correct phone number
A current recipient phone number is extremely helpful, particularly when there is a problem locating an address, apartment, business, gated property, or other delivery location.
One problem we occasionally encounter is an order where the customer enters their own telephone number in the recipient's phone-number field. If the address is also incorrect, this can make completing the delivery especially difficult because the person placing the order may not know the recipient's exact location or how to direct our driver.
Whenever possible, please provide a current telephone number for the actual recipient. We understand that customers sometimes prefer not to have the recipient contacted because the flowers are intended to be a surprise, and we respect that whenever practical.
What if I don't know the recipient's complete address?
Please don't guess. If you are unsure about an address when placing your order, let us know. Nancy's Floral has several resources available to help locate or verify delivery information, and it is much easier to resolve an address question before the arrangement leaves our shop.
For deliveries to hospitals and funeral homes, you generally do not need to know the facility's complete street address. Provide us with the patient's or deceased person's full name, the hospital or funeral home name if known, and the city and state.
For hospital deliveries, we may also verify that the patient is currently admitted and able to receive flowers whenever possible, since patients can be discharged, transferred, or placed in units that do not permit floral deliveries.
Is there a charge if the address is incorrect?
If we discover and correct an address before the original delivery attempt, there is generally no additional charge simply for verifying the information.
However, if our driver attempts delivery to the address provided and we later receive a corrected or different address requiring a second delivery trip, an additional $10.00 redelivery charge may apply.
This nominal charge helps offset the additional driver time, mileage, and expense involved in making a second delivery attempt. In some situations, the floral arrangement may also need to be returned to our shop and refreshed or remade before another delivery attempt.
Are there special considerations when sending flowers to schools or college dormitories?
Yes. Deliveries to schools and college dormitories can present special challenges, and successful delivery may depend on the individual school's or college's policies and the recipient's availability.
For elementary, middle, and high schools, floral deliveries are generally made to the school office rather than directly to a classroom or student. Many schools do not allow flower, balloon, or gift deliveries to students, especially during busy holidays such as Valentine's Day.
Even when a school accepts a delivery, Nancy's Floral cannot control when—or whether—the school office notifies the recipient that flowers are waiting.
College and university dormitory deliveries can also be challenging. Many residence halls are secure buildings that require the resident to provide access through a call box or meet the driver at the entrance. Some residence halls do not have a staffed front desk, office, or mailroom authorized to accept perishable floral deliveries.
When ordering for a college student, please provide the student's full name, residence hall or dormitory name, complete address, room number if applicable, and current mobile phone number.
Because school and university policies are outside Nancy's Floral's control, we cannot guarantee that a school or residence hall will accept a floral delivery or that the recipient will receive it at a particular time.
Funeral, Memorial & Cemetery Deliveries
Funeral, Memorial & Sympathy Delivery Times
Nancy's Floral understands that funeral and memorial deliveries are time-sensitive. Our goal is to have floral tributes delivered, placed, and available well before family members and guests arrive whenever the facility and circumstances allow.
For a funeral, memorial service, viewing, visitation, or celebration of life with a specific starting time, we will normally schedule the flowers to arrive approximately one hour or more before the service. Additional lead time is especially important when the flowers need to be present for a viewing or visitation that begins before the actual service.
When placing your order, please provide all known times, including the viewing or visitation time as well as the funeral or memorial service time.
What if the church or service location is not open when the driver arrives?
One of the greatest challenges with funeral and memorial deliveries occurs when the service is being held at a church, meeting hall, community facility, or another location that is not continuously staffed.
Nancy's Floral may schedule a driver to arrive an hour or more before the service only to discover that the building is locked and no one is there to accept the flowers. This is particularly common with Saturday services.
In some cases, the family, officiant, or individuals setting up for the service may not arrive until approximately 30 minutes before the service begins.
Unlike a staffed funeral home, an unstaffed church or meeting hall may provide our driver with no safe or appropriate place to leave a floral tribute. Large standing sprays, easel arrangements, wreaths, and other funeral pieces should not simply be left outside an unattended building.
Saturdays are often one of our busiest days for funeral, memorial, and event deliveries, so waiting at a locked facility for someone to arrive can affect several other scheduled deliveries.
Special considerations for Kingdom Halls of Jehovah's Witnesses
Deliveries to Kingdom Halls of Jehovah's Witnesses can require additional coordination because many locations do not have a staffed office available throughout the day to receive floral deliveries.
Information about a particular funeral or memorial service may also not be publicly available through an online obituary, funeral-home listing, or other source that our staff can independently verify. In some cases, the information supplied by the person placing the floral order may be the only service information available to us.
For these deliveries, it is especially helpful to provide the correct Kingdom Hall location, exact service time, name of the deceased, and—whenever possible—the approximate time that a family member, congregation member, service coordinator, or other responsible person will be at the building to accept the flowers.
Please tell us when someone will be at the facility
If the funeral or memorial is being held somewhere other than a staffed funeral home, one of the most helpful pieces of information you can provide is:
What time will someone be at the facility to receive the flowers?
If setup begins at 10:00 AM for an 11:00 AM service, for example, please include that information with your order. It allows Nancy's Floral to schedule the delivery for a time when someone should actually be available to open the building and receive the arrangement.
If possible, please also provide the name and mobile telephone number of a person who will be at the service location.
Recommended ordering times for funeral and memorial flowers
Because funeral and sympathy arrangements often require additional design and delivery coordination, we recommend the following minimum ordering times whenever possible:
- Monday morning services: place your order by 12:00 noon Saturday.
- Tuesday through Saturday morning services: place your order by 3:00 PM the previous day.
- Monday through Saturday afternoon services: please allow a minimum of approximately four hours of lead time.
These are general minimum guidelines and do not guarantee that every floral design can be completed within those timeframes. Casket sprays, standing sprays, wreaths, hearts, crosses, specialty tributes, large arrangements, and designs requiring specific flowers or colors may require considerably more advance notice.
What information should I provide when ordering funeral flowers?
- Full name of the deceased
- Funeral home, church, Kingdom Hall, cemetery, or other service location
- Complete address when available
- Date of the service
- Viewing or visitation starting time, if applicable
- Funeral or memorial service starting time
- Time that someone will be at the facility for setup
- Name and mobile number of an on-site contact, when available
- Any special delivery or placement instructions
If some of this information is unavailable, Nancy's Floral will make reasonable efforts to verify the service details whenever possible. For a funeral or memorial order requiring delivery on a tight schedule, please call 503-661-0911.
Does Nancy's Floral deliver flowers to cemeteries and gravesites?
Yes. Nancy's Floral offers floral delivery and grave-placement service to cemeteries throughout the Portland metropolitan area, provided we receive sufficient information to accurately locate the gravesite.
For individual grave placement, please provide as much information as possible, including the cemetery name, full name of the deceased, grave or plot number, section, lot, row, or other available location information.
Because grave-placement deliveries are made directly to a cemetery rather than to an individual recipient, a recipient signature or traditional proof-of-delivery signature is not available. Our driver's placement of the flowers at the identified gravesite completes the delivery.
Are deliveries to Willamette National Cemetery handled differently?
Yes. Willamette National Cemetery has specific procedures for flowers being delivered for funeral and committal services that differ from ordinary cemetery or gravesite deliveries.
For a scheduled service, floral arrangements are delivered to the cemetery's designated committal shelter or meeting area shortly before the service—typically approximately 15 to 30 minutes beforehand.
The cemetery conducts multiple services throughout the day, and the same committal shelter or meeting area may be used for another family's service immediately beforehand. For this reason, Nancy's Floral cannot simply deliver funeral flowers several hours early and leave them at the shelter.
The exact service time and assigned committal shelter or meeting location may not be available to us until the day of the service. Nancy's Floral may need to contact Willamette National Cemetery on the morning of the service to confirm the deceased's scheduled service time and assigned location before completing the delivery.
The cemetery office opens at 9:00 AM, which can create an additional challenge for services scheduled at or very near 9:00 AM. Early-morning services require additional planning and coordination.
When ordering flowers for a service at Willamette National Cemetery, please provide the full name of the deceased, scheduled service date, and any service-time information you have received from the family or funeral home.
Once the floral arrangement has been successfully delivered to the cemetery's designated committal shelter, staging area, or other specified location, Nancy's Floral's delivery obligation is considered complete. After delivery, the flowers are outside our custody and control.
We strongly encourage customers to place Willamette National Cemetery orders in advance whenever possible, particularly for early-morning services.
Sunday & Specialty Delivery
Does Nancy's Floral deliver flowers on Sundays?
Nancy's Floral is normally closed on Sundays, and regular local delivery service is not available. However, when a major floral holiday falls on a Sunday, such as Valentine's Day or Mother's Day, we may open for special holiday hours and limited Sunday delivery service.
For orders being sent outside Nancy's Floral's local delivery area, Sunday delivery is generally very limited because many florists throughout the United States are closed on Sundays.
If Sunday delivery is unavailable, customers should select an alternate delivery date. Depending on the occasion, we may recommend Saturday delivery so the flowers arrive a day early, or Monday as the next available delivery day.
If Sunday delivery is important to your order, please contact Nancy's Floral at 503-661-0911 before ordering.
Delivery of exotic flowers, specialty flowers & plants
Some exotic flowers, unusual varieties, specialty plants, and seasonal products are not stocked in our shop every day and may need to be obtained specifically for your order.
Depending on availability from our local wholesalers, growers, and other suppliers, next-day or advance ordering may occasionally be required.
If a particular flower, plant variety, or specialty product is essential to your order, we recommend ordering as early as possible or calling Nancy's Floral at 503-661-0911 to confirm availability.
Floral Deliveries Outside the Portland Metro Area — U.S. & Canada
Nancy's Floral can assist with sending flowers and gifts to recipients throughout the United States and Canada through our network of professional local florists.
All prices and transactions placed through Nancy's Floral are quoted and processed in U.S. dollars.
Is same-day flower delivery available throughout the U.S. and Canada?
Same-day delivery is often available Monday through Saturday for orders received before approximately 12:00 noon in the recipient's local time zone. However, same-day delivery outside our local Portland metropolitan delivery area cannot be guaranteed.
Availability depends on the recipient's location, availability of a qualified local florist, flower inventory, product selected, delivery distance, local shop hours, holidays, and seasonal order volume.
Orders received after 12:00 noon in the recipient's time zone may need to be delivered on the next available delivery day. In some areas, same-day service may still be possible, but customers should allow us the flexibility to deliver the following day if necessary.
During major floral holidays and other peak delivery periods, including Valentine's Day and Mother's Day, earlier ordering is strongly recommended.
What is the delivery fee for U.S. and Canadian orders?
For orders being delivered to a U.S. or Canadian address outside Nancy's Floral's Portland metropolitan delivery area, our standard outgoing delivery/service fee is:
$30.00 per delivery
This fee covers the processing, transmission, and coordination of your order with a florist serving the recipient's area.
Why might additional funds be required?
Although the $30.00 fee applies to most outgoing U.S. and Canadian orders, additional funds may occasionally be necessary to successfully fulfill and deliver an order.
A receiving florist may require additional funds because of:
- An unusually long delivery distance or remote location
- Higher local delivery charges
- Limited availability of florists serving the recipient's area
- Higher flower or labor costs in that market
- Specialty, seasonal, exotic, or difficult-to-source flowers
- Specific containers, plants, or design components that cost more locally
- Rural, mountain, island, or otherwise difficult-to-service destinations
- Major holidays or unusually high local demand
- Other circumstances beyond Nancy's Floral's control
Most orders do not require additional funds. If additional money is necessary to complete your order as requested, Nancy's Floral will normally contact you before making a significant change or requesting additional payment.
What if there is no florist that delivers to the recipient's address?
Some remote and rural communities have limited or no local florist delivery service, including certain coastal areas of Oregon and Washington.
Nancy's Floral will make reasonable efforts to locate a professional florist that services the recipient's address. In some situations, a florist located farther away may be available but may require an additional delivery charge because of the distance involved.
If we are unable to locate a qualified florist that can service the recipient's address, we will contact you regarding the available options. If no reasonable delivery option is available, the order may need to be cancelled and the applicable payment refunded.
What information should I provide for an out-of-area order?
- Recipient's full name
- Complete street address
- Apartment, unit, or suite number when applicable
- City, state or province, and ZIP or postal code
- A current telephone number for the recipient
- Business, hospital, funeral home, or facility name when applicable
A correct recipient telephone number is particularly important for deliveries outside our local area. The delivering florist may need to contact the recipient for directions, building access, address clarification, or delivery coordination.
Can Nancy's Floral guarantee an exact arrangement for an out-of-area delivery?
Because out-of-area orders are designed by another professional florist using flowers and products available in the recipient's local market, some substitutions may be necessary.
The fulfilling florist may substitute flowers or design components while maintaining the overall style, color harmony, quality, and value of the arrangement as closely as possible.
If a particular flower, color, plant, container, or design element is especially important, please let Nancy's Floral know when placing your order.
How far in advance should I order?
Whenever possible, we recommend placing U.S. and Canadian orders at least one business day in advance, particularly for rural destinations, funeral services, specialty arrangements, specific flowers, or major holidays.
While we are often able to coordinate same-day delivery, additional lead time gives Nancy's Floral and the fulfilling florist more flexibility to obtain the appropriate flowers and successfully coordinate delivery.
International Floral Deliveries
Nancy's Floral can assist customers with sending flowers to recipients in approximately 195 countries worldwide through participating professional florists and international floral networks.
International floral delivery is considerably different from local or domestic delivery. Differences in time zones, currencies, flower availability, local customs, holidays, florist availability, delivery practices, and regional pricing can all affect an international order.
For this reason, international orders are personally coordinated by our staff rather than processed as standard online orders.
How do I place an international flower order?
International floral delivery orders must be placed directly with Nancy's Floral by telephone or in person at our Gresham flower shop. International orders cannot be placed through our website.
Please call 503-661-0911, and our staff will help determine an appropriate floral selection and value for the destination country.
The arrangements pictured on our website are designed primarily for deliveries within the United States and are not available as exact designs for international delivery.
For international orders, it is generally better to select a style, color palette, occasion, and approximate value and allow the florist in the recipient's country to create an appropriate arrangement using the best available flowers in that local market.
How much advance notice is required for international flower delivery?
Because of the significant time differences between Oregon and destinations throughout the world, same-day international delivery is generally not available or guaranteed.
Nancy's Floral can send floral orders to approximately 195 countries across numerous international time zones. When you place an order with us during our normal business hours in Oregon, it may already be the following day in the recipient's country.
For example, an order placed with Nancy's Floral during the afternoon in Oregon may reach the international florist when it is already the next morning—or even later in the day—at the destination.
The receiving florist must then have sufficient time during its own local business hours to receive and confirm the order, verify the delivery area, confirm flower availability, prepare the arrangement, contact the recipient when necessary, and schedule the delivery.
Because of these time differences, an order placed in Oregon on the date of someone's birthday or anniversary may arrive for processing when that occasion is already underway or nearly over in the recipient's country.
Many international orders can be successfully delivered within approximately 24 hours. However, we recommend allowing up to 72 hours, or three business days, whenever possible.
If delivery on a particular date is important, please place your order at least three business days in advance.
The recipient's local date and time—not the date and time in Oregon—determines the practical delivery schedule.
What is the international delivery fee?
Nancy's Floral's standard service / delivery fee for an international floral order is:
$40.00 per delivery
All orders placed through Nancy's Floral are quoted and processed in U.S. dollars.
Additional funds may occasionally be required because of:
- Currency exchange rates
- Higher flower prices in the destination country
- Local delivery charges
- Remote delivery locations
- Specialty or seasonal flower requests
- Limited florist availability
- Local market conditions
- Other circumstances outside Nancy's Floral's control
If significant additional funds are required to successfully fulfill the order, Nancy's Floral will contact you to discuss the available options.
Will the international arrangement look exactly like a design on Nancy's Floral's website?
No. The specific floral arrangements pictured on our website cannot be guaranteed or duplicated for international delivery.
International orders are created by a professional florist serving the recipient's community using flowers and products available in that particular market.
For the best results, we recommend giving the international florist some creative flexibility while specifying the occasion, preferred colors, general floral style, and desired value.
What does “bouquet” or “arrangement” mean internationally?
Floral terminology is not always the same throughout the world.
In many overseas countries, a “bouquet” means professionally arranged cut flowers that are wrapped for presentation. It does not necessarily mean flowers arranged in a vase.
An “arrangement” generally means flowers designed in some type of container, but that container is not necessarily a glass or ceramic vase.
If you specifically want the recipient to receive flowers arranged in a vase, please clearly tell our staff when placing the order. We recommend adding approximately $20.00 to the floral value when requesting a vase.
Can I send balloons, candy, fruit, or other gifts internationally?
Possibly, but non-floral products cannot be guaranteed for international delivery.
International availability may be limited for:
- Balloons
- Candy and chocolates
- Fruit baskets
- Gourmet and food baskets
- Artificial flowers
- Dried or silk flowers
- Plush animals
- Specialty containers
- Keepsake gifts
- Other non-floral products and accessories
Some international florists may accept special-request or non-floral products only when a substantial portion of the total order value is also being used for fresh flowers.
For this reason, fresh flowers are generally the most reliable choice for an international floral delivery.
What information do you need for an international floral delivery?
- Recipient's full name
- Complete street or delivery address
- Apartment, unit, building, or suite information when applicable
- City
- State, province, region, or territory when applicable
- Postal code when applicable
- Country
- Recipient's current telephone number, including the appropriate country and area codes
- Requested delivery date
- Occasion
- Card message
- Any special delivery instructions or access information
Address formats vary considerably throughout the world. Whenever possible, please provide the recipient's address exactly as it was provided to you by the recipient or someone familiar with the location.
A correct recipient telephone number is particularly important for an international delivery and may be required by the international network transmitting the order.
Can Nancy's Floral deliver flowers to an overseas military base?
International military-base deliveries may be possible, but they require additional information and are subject to the security and access requirements of the individual installation.
Please provide the recipient's full name, complete military base or installation name, all available address information, unit information when applicable, a complete telephone number where the recipient can be reached directly, and the requested delivery date.
Military installations frequently have security restrictions that prevent civilian delivery drivers from entering the base or delivering directly to a residence or workplace.
For this reason, delivery to an overseas military installation cannot be guaranteed until the fulfilling florist confirms that the location can be serviced.
Are international delivery dates guaranteed?
International delivery can be affected by time-zone differences, weekends and local business hours, national and regional holidays, local florist availability, recipient availability, incorrect or incomplete addresses, delivery restrictions, weather, transportation disruptions, remote locations, currency changes, and flower availability.
For these reasons, we recommend allowing up to 72 hours for international delivery unless our staff confirms otherwise.
For an important birthday, anniversary, funeral, holiday, or other date-sensitive occasion, please order at least three business days in advance whenever possible.
What if the destination cannot be serviced?
Although international floral delivery is available to approximately 195 countries, this does not necessarily mean that every address within every country can be serviced.
Remote villages, islands, rural communities, restricted areas, military installations, and other difficult-to-access destinations may have limited or no florist coverage.
Nancy's Floral will make reasonable efforts to locate a professional florist capable of servicing the recipient's location. If the destination cannot be serviced, or if additional information or funds are necessary, we will contact you to discuss the available options.
If we are ultimately unable to arrange the delivery, the order may need to be cancelled and the applicable payment refunded.
What is the best way to place an international floral order?
Because every international destination is different, please do not attempt to order an international delivery directly from the products shown on our website.
Instead, call Nancy's Floral at 503-661-0911 or visit our Gresham flower shop at 620 NE Burnside Rd, Gresham, Oregon.
Our experienced staff can help determine an appropriate order value, floral style, delivery date, and product selection for the destination country.
Planning several days ahead and providing complete recipient information gives us the best opportunity to coordinate a beautiful and successful international floral delivery.
